Please Check Your Delivery Access Route Before Ordering
For large furniture such as sofas and TV boards, delivery may not be possible if the access route to your home is too narrow or restricted.Returns or cancellations cannot be accepted if a product cannot be delivered due to insufficient access to the installation location. Before placing your order, please carefully confirm both the product dimensions and the delivery route.
Step 1. Check the Product Dimensions
The first step is to confirm the overall dimensions of your selected product.
Please check all measurements, including:
- Width
- Depth
- Height
The longest dimension of the product is especially important when determining whether delivery is possible. For example, the longest dimension of a sofa is typically its width.Product dimensions are listed under Size on each product page. For products made with natural materials or handcrafted finishes, dimensions may be shown as a range (for example, 200–205 cm) to reflect acceptable manufacturing tolerances. Please note that products are shipped in protective packaging. Packaging materials such as cartons and cushioning generally increase the overall dimensions by approximately 5–10 cm (2–4 in.).
If the available clearance is very close to the product dimensions, unpacking may be required before the product can be brought into your home. We recommend allowing sufficient clearance when checking measurements.
Step 2. Check the Delivery Route
Next, consider the route the product will take from the building entrance to its final location.Measure each part of the delivery route carefully, including corridor widths, ceiling heights, doors, stairs, elevators, and turning spaces. In some cases, obstacles that appear problematic may not interfere with delivery, while spaces that seem adequate may prove too restrictive during handling.Use the guide below to measure each section accurately. Please note that, depending on the layout of your home, additional measurements beyond those shown below may also be necessary.Remember that delivery personnel require sufficient working space to maneuver large furniture safely.Always allow additional clearance beyond the product dimensions.
Detached Houses
Apartment Buildings
1. Entrance
Measure:
- Door opening width
- Door opening height
- Door opening angle
Please also check for obstacles such as:
- Door handles
- Handrails
- Mailboxes
- Lighting fixtures
If the entrance opens directly onto a wall, requiring the product to be rotated immediately after entering, additional ceiling height and floor space will be necessary. For apartment buildings where a wall is located directly outside the entrance, please also measure the available space in front of the entrance door.
2. Interior Doors
If the delivery route passes through additional rooms, measure every doorway along the route.
Please confirm:
- Clear opening width
- Clear opening height
- Door opening angle
- Available maneuvering space
Insufficient clearance may prevent the product from passing through.
3. Staircases
Measure:
- Stair width
- Ceiling height
If your staircase includes a landing, also measure:
- Landing width
- Landing depth
- Ceiling height above the landing
Where handrails are installed, measurements should be taken from the inside edge of the handrail. Please also check for lighting fixtures or other obstacles.
Straight Staircases
Delivery is generally possible if either the staircase width or the ceiling height exceeds the product’s longest dimension.
Staircases with Landings
Measure both the landing depth and ceiling height. Even where the landing is relatively small, delivery may still be possible if there is no side wall and the product can be passed upward from below.
Spiral Staircases
Delivery is generally possible when the staircase is at least 120 cm wide and the ceiling height exceeds the product’s longest dimension.
4. Corners
Where the delivery route includes a corner, large furniture is typically rotated into a vertical position during handling. Please confirm that sufficient ceiling height and turning space are available for the product to be maneuvered safely.
5. Hallways
Measure both the width and height of the hallway. The hallway must be wider than the product’s shortest dimension. We recommend allowing at least 10 cm (4 in.) of additional clearance.
Also check for obstacles such as:
- Handrails
- Pendant lighting
- Exposed beams
6. Elevators
Measure:
- Door width
- Door height
- Interior height
- Interior depth
If the product is taller than the elevator opening, it may need to be tilted during transport. Please ensure that sufficient interior space is available for this maneuver. Some elevators have extendable interiors designed for transporting long items such as stretchers. If you are unsure, we recommend consulting your building management before placing your order.
7. Shared Corridors
Measure the width and height of all shared corridors.
Please also check for obstacles such as:
- Fire safety equipment
- Lighting fixtures
- Utility boxes
Limited space between the corridor and your entrance door may prevent delivery.
Important Notice
The guidance provided above is intended as a general reference only and does not guarantee that delivery will be possible in every situation. Delivery conditions vary depending on the design and structure of each building. We strongly recommend confirming your delivery route carefully before placing your order.
